ACCOMODATION

Felucca | Overnight aboard a traditional felucca is an adventure. The felucca is parked on the banks of the Nile and the deck is turned into a communal sleeping area. Mattresses are provided and wind shields are wrapped around to protect from the wind, a mosquito net can also be provided. Some feluccas provide "toilets" although the more traditional boats require that the captain pulls over and directs you of where to relive yourself.

Comfort Hotel | Our recommend choice of accommodation is the Comfort Style, which is generally in a 3* star category. This style choice means we stay in comfortable Hotels with good service and facilities, while still have the local appeal.

Our EMBAH Tour leader will welcome you at Cairo International airport and accompany you on the group transfer to the centre of Cairo and check-in hotel. Group briefing with your Tour leader. Free time to explore the area. Overnight at Barceló Cairo Pyramids Hotel 4* BB.

2Giza Pyramids & Cairo Museum

After breakfast you will check out of your hotel and make your way to Giza to visit the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx. Lunch on location followed by a visit to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities in Tahir Square. Your guide will focus on the Tutankhamun Collection which is one of the most stunning collection of ancient artefacts ever found. Late evening we take the sleeper train to Aswan.

3Aswan & Nubian home visit

We arrive in Aswan early morning to check into our hotel. Most of the day is free for you to explore Aswan, your guide can arrange optional visits like the unfinished Obelisk, or you can wander around the bazaars, kids will love to see the locals in their traditional dresses with turbans on their heads! Evening we take a trip to a Nubian Village where you will have dinner with the locals. Overnight at Iberotel Aswan 5*.

4Felucca Nile Sail

Today we board our Luxury Felucca Boat for a sail down the Nile. Time to settle down and relax taking in the wonderful sights along the banks of the Nile and enjoy the fantastic sunsets in the evening. It is like stepping back in time with views of oxen plowing fields, horse and donkey drawn carts and lush green fields tended by hand.

Another day spent sailing on the River Nile. Tonight the staff on board your boat will arrange a surprise last night for your entertainment with a fantastic dinner on board.

6Kom Ombo Temple - Luxor

Breakfast on board followed by a visit tot he Temple of Kom Ombo where you will cringe at the mummified crocodiles on display. Transfer to Luxor by charter bus and hotel check in. Afternoon leisure time to explore at your own pace. Overnight at Sonesta St George Hotel Luxor 5*.

7Luxor Sightseeing

Morning visit to the Valley of the Kings and Queens. Before heading back over the river we stop and visit the beautiful funerary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Egypt’s first female Pharoah. A fantastic photo opportunity with some of the best hieroglyphics you will ever see carved deep into the stone walls of the temple. Afternoon free. Overnight at Sonesta St George Hotel Luxor 5*.

8Calesh to Karnak Temple

Early morning we go by horse and calesh (horse drawn carriages) to the magnificent Karnak Temple. With its many internal temples and the great Lake you will be in awe of this monumental site. Afternoon free to spend at your own leisure. Overnight at Sonesta St George Hotel Luxor 5*
